onebadmk8 08-03-2008, 09:54 PM Everyone has had this kit I am sure or at least I hope.
This is one of my favorites as a kid.
I built it 98% box stock just for nostalgia purpouses.
All I am doing is wiring th engine, running some linkage to the hat, blackout the wheel backs, cut the side windows out and I already painted it Testors Chrome Yellow with Testors pearl clear over that.

charger70 08-03-2008, 10:04 PM Al right, Now youve got to do a diorama of the pits at one of the top tracks. Maybe Lyons or something.
Now you went and made me dig into my box of pictures.
charger70 08-03-2008, 10:11 PM how bout an old time team theme like this?
If it wasn't for the tailgate on the pickup on the other side of the hauler, you might think this was from the late 60s early 70s.
bigblocksam 08-03-2008, 10:36 PM very cool
onebadmk8 08-03-2008, 11:23 PM Thanks Guys. Yes I would love to do a Drag team dio but I cant get the Junkyard done!! LOL!
That shot is very cool too and would do perfect in this manner.

Very cool. Good to see there's someone else on the site interested in plastic. Do you happen to have a link to any pictures of your builds? Looks like you've done some nice stuff.
onebadmk8 08-11-2008, 08:32 PM Thank you Sir. On my Model Kit board I have plenty. Checkout the in progress/completed section, same board name as here.
Enjoy... (http://modelmasters.proboards3.com/index.cgi)
aaqar2 08-16-2008, 04:42 AM I like the 60 Ford Starliner behind it!
onebadmk8 08-16-2008, 11:11 AM I like the 60 Ford Starliner behind it!
Made that into a gasser as well, big block 4 gear car!!
1ol74charger4me 04-05-2012, 08:39 PM Nice job! I'm just now getting back to some modeling after 30 years. I was wondering how you tinted the windows and are the seatbelts a photocopy by chance? I want to tint some windows purple for a gasser but can't find a purple candy. Any suggestions? BTW, Hobby Lobby has the Badman model. I want to Two Lane Blacktop one. Maybe later.
Red63440 04-05-2012, 09:15 PM Nice work but I can honestly say I never built a chevy model...ever. Built a ton of Mopars, planes and tanks...no Fords either.
roadrunnerman 04-05-2012, 10:18 PM models look pretty cool, like the easy rider motorcycle in the back.
Nice build, and the other builds look good as well. Hey! We could use a good model build thread-is this it?
If you don't mind;I'd like to add to this:

It's the Lindbergh '64 Dodge 330. Good kit(glad it was done),but has some serious issues as far as "Mopar correctness" goes. This was a bit of a quick build to see if I still had some skill after a 20 year hiatus. The next Mopar build(a '64 Plymouth Belvedere HT) will have the corrections made.
Budnicks 04-06-2012, 01:50 PM Al K; that is a very detailed model, great job... onebadmk8 Nice job, I was into models for a few years, when I lived in Alaska the long winters were my building time, there was a hobby shop only a couple of hundred feet away from my door so getting supplies was close & convenient, I would buy sometimes 3 or 4 Models or special order models they didn't have at a time to make 1 good model with all the right parts, engines, blowers, tires, rims, axles & style, I wish I would have taken some photos, I gave all the models to my young nephew, when I moved back to Calif., he destroyed them, playing with them, haven't done it since...
