Looking at making my 68 Charger handle pretty good. I know there is the XV level 1 kit available as a bolt in, ready to go package for near 3000 dollars.
Im more interested in making the car handle even better than that with my own selected parts...
XV use light rear leafs for 'comfort' but I like the firm/hardness of performance cars like vipers and lambos and the rest of it... so comfort of ride to me XV make it TOO light.
What size Torsion bars?
What size Front sway bar?
What size rear sway bar (if rear should be added considering the application - street/circuit car)
What kind of rear springs, split leaf, mono, super stock, etc for handling application.
What shocks... Im thinking Bilstein 50/50 valved
What bushings? Poly or alluminium?
Im not looking at spending 20 000 on coilovers etc, im looking around 5000-6000 on a setup... considering XV is 3000 i thought extra 2-3k thrown at it should be a serious circuit handling car that will hold its own against modern sports cars without all the special trick alloy suspension parts that make it light weight for 20k.

I also want to replace the power steer my 68 charger has and power breaks with manual breaks and manual steer...
Whats the lightest, best quality and least amount of lock-lock turns manual steer rack I can get? Is it rack and pinion or something else?
How do I make car manual break... is it just pulling booster out or is there certain stuff to buy to make it manual break... if so, i want the best manual break setup also. I got front discs and rear drums factory.
Thanks
