got the roadrunner yesterday my dad towed the barracuda 600 miles from fla to eden nc. then a mile from the guys house we slid on a banked curve doin a whopping 3 miles an hour and the trailer dragged us into the ditch. the guy on the tractor in the background sat there and watched us for 3 hours before even offering help...after we winched ourselves out of the ditch and up the embankment.

If you think they suck in snow, get one in a few inches of mud.

They won't pull a greasy string outta of dog's ass in mud. :rolling:

Yep , that's the way it is, you get snow, ice or mud packed up tight between those dual wheels and the traction goes right out the window and the Power means nothing.

By the way Nice Runner ! tell us more about it.

Yeah your right , but I've learned since then . Just pull 1 dual off each side and you won't have that problem .

Also very nice road runner had 1 bb, and 3 satelites , sb's . Fun cars !

I haven't seen a KMC FM converter in years.

i'm only the 4th owner of the runner, she still has the orginal book and paperwork in the glove compartment. everything is original with the car when it left the factory minus the paint nshe had now< paint code unknown on the fender tag and she had a tranverse striep and a bumblbee stripe both white> , the bucket seats<she left with a bench> and the deck lid. other then that she's fine all i have to do besides minor body work like dealin with the little rust in the corner of the doors, is buy new window felts and weather strippin, and i'm pullin off the 4 barrel and the intake and replacin them with a 2barrel. and she needs a new valve stem and an oil change. i think i really came out on top of this deal.

Are you going to restore it back to original? What size motor is in it?

I just threw away a 2 barrel intake off a 78. But I was told about one that takes a large 2 Barrel I will see if I can find out which Mopar it came from. I plan on a 340 build in Feb or March.

I put a 360 intake on my 318 it is mix matched but for $26.00 at Pull A part and $30.00 at a machine shop to have it boiled out then sandblasted it was worth it. I picked up a EdelBrock 600 carb no choke for $150.00 it was to small for a friends Chevy truck.

Next intake will be alum.

this engine came out of a truck that was built for hill climbing. i don't know the tranny or the cam specs. dad took the 2 brl intake back to fla with him they have an industrial parts washer at the garage he works at so he's gonna clean it up then when i find a 2 brl carb we're gonna put it on.

Truthfully not that much at the moment since the cars and I are not in the same place. But I DO need a nice pair of tail lights for my 72 Duster. I'm also what you might call a "hunter gatherer". If I see some good parts, I gather them lol

the drivers side rear wheel kept goin flat the previous owner told me it had a vavle stem leak so i got that replaced was fine until i put it back on the car then it went flat the next day. took it to walmart the technician inflated it and 20 mins later came back and told me there was nothin wrong with it he couldt find a leak, next day....flat again. took it back to walmart and in 5 mins a different technician told me the bead was leakin so he broke the tire down and showed me where the rim had rusted before and was pitted so the weight of the care was breakin the seal. he put in some bead sealer and since the other guy didn't find the leak before it was all free and the tire hasn't leaked since.

got an air cleaner for it, new battery, turns over on the first try gettin it registered tomorrow then down to get the oil changed.
