Then it would be a great car in my opinion. moparstuart 08-06-2008, 11:18 AM If I owned that car, I would remove that Toronado front nose and buy a Dayclona nose for it. Then it would be a great car in my opinion. you would have to put the corvette loop bumper back on it . I'm sure mike can help you with that . moparstuart 08-06-2008, 11:24 AM I think it looked better before they cut the grille in to it and removed the loop bumper! 69 Runner 08-06-2008, 11:30 AM sooooo....nobody gonna answer the question WTF is up with that nose? moparstuart 08-06-2008, 11:32 AM here you go read away ! cinda obvious it's home made ! http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,47074.0.html AdamR 08-06-2008, 11:33 AM Maybe know one knows the answer to your question. 69 Runner 08-06-2008, 11:33 AM tyvm 69 Runner 08-06-2008, 11:51 AM Interesting how these stories get started. As soon as I found out the Superbird I used to own had lived in J.J.'s "museum" for a while (after I sold it) I wondered what kind of stories were made up about it. moparstuart 08-06-2008, 11:58 AM Interesting how these stories get started. As soon as I found out the Superbird I used to own had lived in J.J.'s "museum" for a while (after I sold it) I wondered what kind of stories were made up about it. any pictures of your old bird ??? Big_John 08-06-2008, 03:47 PM Could be worse.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320281891206&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:MOTORS:1123 69 Runner 08-06-2008, 04:36 PM Yep. First pic is what it looked like when I bought it. The second is supposed to be my old bird, and is supposedly after it was bought from JJ. I sold it to a guy in Tennessee. I guess he sold it to JJ. I don't know who redid the car moparstuart 08-06-2008, 06:43 PM cool pics how long ago did you sell it , do you regret it ? 69 Runner 08-06-2008, 06:59 PM Oh sure. That, and the 1 of 27 69 runner verts I had. And yeah I'd like to have them both back. Probably not gonna happen though. I posted to a wing car site or two trying to get info on the car. Whether it was still around. What condition. Never asked about it from the perspective of "I want to buy it back" Finally someone posted that pic and said they thought it was my car (yes, I have the VIN). They thought it had gone to the east coast. North Carolina or something like that. But no one seemed to know for sure. I bought it off a used car lot in a Dallas suburb for less than $800. Drove it home in the snow. I sold it in 1980? I think it was moparstuart 08-07-2008, 11:32 AM dave patik of performance car graphics in florida has a huge vin registy on birds you might try him if your still interested in finding it ? 69 Runner 08-07-2008, 11:53 AM I just wanted to know if it was still alive and well, and if it had been resurrected or not. I'm not in a position to buy it back moparstuart 08-07-2008, 07:13 PM i'm sure dave can tell you or help you find someone who will ? 69HEMICORONETR/TCONV 11-21-2009, 08:11 AM The nose looks like it's trying to pucker up and blow a kiss ! LOL, ....I would replace it. moparstuart 11-21-2009, 12:47 PM I like the car , owner is nice too ,its just an early clone and a great conversation piece Propwash 11-24-2009, 03:02 PM The nose looks like it's off of a 84 firebird moparstuart 11-24-2009, 03:28 PM actually i think he told me old toronado like 70 ? the hlp door and top plate came from there . 69HEMICORONETR/TCONV 11-24-2009, 06:05 PM If I owned that car, I would remove that Toronado front nose and buy a Dayclona nose for it. Then it would be a great car in my opinion. Agreed....Bingo ! hotrod 98 !......... I would purchase and reproduction nose cone and park it with the rear facing me, so I wouldn't have to look at it till the new nose arrived, ......But that's just my opinion, and with that and 50 cents I can get a cup of coffee. :lotsocoffee: detmatt1 11-25-2009, 04:40 AM Where can you get a cup of coffee for fifty cents?. | |||
