1969 Coronet R/T Restoration

Doing a complete restoration on number matching car. It has 30,000 original miles. Rust free from Texas. Enjoy the pic's. Hope to be done by March 1st. It was drive quality, but want to take to the next step.

For the original poster and others, I track 69 R/T convertibles and have been able to identify 63 US and Canada sold cars. If you have info on a 69 R/T convertible, I'd be interested in learning more.

For the original poster....I have been able to identify at least one, and maybe two, early year VIN sequential runs of similar built Y2 convertibles. I'd be interested in knowing more about your car if you don't mind sharing.

But all orange at the engine?!

In 1969 225 slant sixes and 318s were blue, 383-4, 440-4 and 426 Hemi were Hemi orange. 383-2 was turquiose. 340s were either red or hemi orange. That's all my engine knowledge.

This hobby needs young guns like you. YOU are the guys behind us old farts that will have to keep the Mopar torch lit or watch it die. YOU are important to this hobby and have a long but worthwhile journey ahead of you.

IF you truly want to learn and IF you want to have credibility on the boards, I suggest you dial it back a little. Be more willing to pay attention to what someone is trying to do FOR you instead of what you think they are trying to do TO you. Be more willing to share and give than worry about what's in it for you.

One is not able to learn until one is willing to learn.

I normally would not have commented like I did but I have had some nasty PM exhanges with him.
He thinks You and I are picking on him, but he has not seen the PMs I have had from others regarding his posting in the past.

Your right, the hobby does need young blood to carry on, however at this point I don't believe it needs people with his outlook. Hopefully he will outgrow it.

One last thing.

I really take my pride to heart so any real blow gets to me. I acknowledge I'm young and that some of the things I say/do may be on the stupid side. In the end i really hope tat this ends any disagreement and hope to put crap like this in the past. In essence I am willing to burry the hatchet and retract anything aslong as there are no more arguments and that any future disagreements are met in a rational way. Also that any future grievances or such are brought up in a more prudent way.

Nice ass car 69coronetrt,I should just stay outta this argument,but to add my 2 cents I agree with MarPar on this one,all the guys on here are amazing and have been nothing but respectful to me and tolerating the dumb ass questions I may ask somtimes,I am a young mopar guy and a late bloomer being 26 yrs old and starting my first project unlike most people who have been doing this since they were kids,I am learning as I go and that is my intentions for being on this forum,to learn from the more experieced and to grow from them also to meet people who share the same love of mopars that I do,everyone else in my life has treated me like an idiot and told me I cant do this but none of these guys have done that 2 me at all,I love this forum and cant even fathom joining any other ones out there,we are the future of mopars w/o us these cars may not exist somday,we shouldnt attack each other there are plenty of ricer queers out there for us to attack(sorry if i offended any ricer queers if so what the hell are you thinking owning a mopar and a ricer,trade the ricer for a lawn mower or leaf blower much cheaper and dont contribute to the economical problems)sorry if I offended any actual queers,your preference is your prefernce,I would rather push a mopar than drive anything but one!
