I'm currently working on building a Charger convertible for a guy,I'm more than half way done with it. I'd like to get started on my wingcar,as soon as I finish this project. I told the guy I'd like to have his car ready by labor day. If I can get it done, then the plan is to get going on the wingcar. As some of you may know,I have an XX code 69 Charger 500,it's missing it's original motor, and trans. I sold the 500 nose a few years back. I bought an original Daytona wing back in 96 for a grand. I also have original wing washers for it too. I bought a pair of California cutoff rear quarters that have door jambs, complete wheelwells, trunk extentions, and rear valence corners. I have a complete nosecone assembly from Dayclona too. The car is a Y2 Yellow automatic car, with the super track pack 4.10 Dana 60 rear end. I reciently aquired a correct 69 440 engine for the car,and I'm converting it to a console shifted 4 speed. I've also decided to do the car F6 Green, with black interior, and tail stripe. I have collected everthing that I need to build the car,and it has the correct rear window, and moldings, the shortened trunklid, and the A pillar moldings, all of which were installed by Creative Industries back in 1969. I have to remove the rear window plug to install the rear quarters. I also bought a new tail panel, one peice trunk floor, and rear valence from AMD,and thet,re real nice peices. I can't wait to tear into it.

Ahh!........I'll work the boy over to see the light!.........F6 with a white wing!......I'll let him slide on the black gut,.......should be white though!

A really Killer combo though!....is Black with red wing, and redline tires on magnums......anything goes with the gut with this color combo,....red, black or white interior!

Anythings better than that "piss Yella" Y2 thats on it now!.........:tongueflap:

I gotta agree with ya Mike on the piss yella! I really liked the color combo,on the rolled over Daytona, that Tom just sold. It will look like that one did before the accident. Only I'm gonna fix that auto trans factory defect!

I remember reading the magazine article on Waynes car. I like the idea, that he did what he wanted with his car even though it's an original Hemi Daytona! I'm sure there are some people who aren't going to like the fact that my Daytona project is a Charger 500,but I bought it when nobody really wanted Charger 500s. Didn't Waynes car get hit by a guy on a motorcycle,at one of the shows?

The white looks great with F6 green, but my wifes Challenger convertible is white inside, and it's almost impossible to keep it clean. Thats the main reason,I'm going with black interior, the other reason,is that the interior is already redone.

If I remember right they only made 392 69 Charger 500's.Way more rarer than a Daytona.

Right shade too. Seems LOTS of people get FC7 about 3 shades to lite when they whip one up

hotrod98

And, every paint company out there seems to have the wrong formula for FC7. I always have to custom mix that color just to get it to match.
I don't care for the new pearl version much. Looks a little washed out to me.

Well the Daytona project is being bumped back a bit. I'm still working on that Charger convertible for a customer. I did pickup a new AMD rear quarterpanel, and dutchpanel, and I installed them on my 70 Charger R/T SE. They fit well. Now that I have those peices on the 70,it will most likely be done next. Then I will start on the Daytona next.
