Hi, I work at a musclecar and hot rod shop. I was doing a 1969 Road Runner and had to replace both outer wheel wells. For the fun of it since we had it lying around I looked up the flat rate to replace 1 outer wheel well and it said 2 hours. I am wondering if anyone out there in b-body land has done it in that time. We are talking about the taiwan made replacement parts. Because it did take me longer then 2 hours, a lot of spot weld to drill. Also we had to pie cut the right one just to make it fit. Here are some of the pics of the work done and of the car finished.
Also wondering if anyone out there has had a chance to install any of the AMD new metal that have out. Wondering if they are any good?
Any input would be appreciated. :confused:

Been down the same road with the stinking Chinese steel.......I have no idea where they got the specs for their stamps & molds, unless of course it was from a Ford rep...........
We've had nothing but trouble with the outers.........That 2 hours you speak of should be doubled..........Lousy fit at the wheel radius too...........we've not had a single one fit right yet..........and with the time & expense we invest, it really frosts me that the parts are just so lousy for overall fit and finish.
We haven't tried any of the new American parts yet, but believe me, we will be very shortly..............maybe those clever Chinese can use their leftover parts for their scooters or something........ we'll buy them only when it's absolutely necessary from here on out. :yes_no: (although I'm sure the wife will plead "lower cost!".....better get out my bat)
