Will a Lakewood scatter shield fit '65 Belv?joesnow 02-02-2010, 05:05 PM I have a '65 Belvedere II and considering a stick. Will a Lakewood fit the tunnel? 69 Runner 02-02-2010, 06:49 PM May need to work on the pinch weld a bit, but it will probably fit Meep-Meep 02-03-2010, 12:13 PM I had one in my 68 RR and it fit fine if that means anything. I think it even has multiple ball stud locations. Don't forget the block plate that goes behind the flywheel. moparsteve636 02-04-2010, 12:14 PM If it's for a early b-body,no problem.68 and later you'll have to extend z bar bracket. moparstuart 02-04-2010, 12:32 PM had one in my 69 coronet r/t and it fit great CUDACOLLINS 02-08-2010, 04:25 PM No problem with a "62-'65 b-body ! It's a little tight, but not where you would have to beat the tunnel. You will also have to fabricate a bracket for the frame side, and move your clutch fork a half inch also. And if your planning on using a new style K-frame, it's almost impossible. It can be done, but you would have to fabricate all your clutch linkage , for one, and so on , and so on. If you can locate a 63-65 bell, your in business ! A lot easier. Also Brewers sells a aluminum repop bell for these cars. That's what I used, and everything worked fine, also has original bells for sale also, and everything in between... If your going to race, and worried about safety, you can always use a blanket. Didn't want to mis- lead you. A lot to consider. Good luck. joesnow 02-08-2010, 05:07 PM Great thanks. | |||
