Im trying to get my 72 hide away headlights installed on my 74 Charger and Im having some issues with the motor and need some help . Does anyone know anything about those motors? Mine was stuck from age when I got it . I got it un-stuck and have cleaned and lubricated it but it still seems to be kinda stiff and I have no idea if its how it should be . I opened up the gear box case and everything seems to be intact with the gears and the contacts but Im just not understanding yet why I cant get it to work . If Im understanding what Im seeing the contacts on each side for each travel direction is on engaged for a moment and not for the whole motion range this seems weird to me ....is this right? Im guessing the motor just is bumped on for a quick second and that the coil spring on the light doors assist the motion and when the motor reaches the full open or close it closes the other contacts together so when the lights is turned off it just bumps the motor again for a moment to close and the gravity weight of the doors assist the motor to its ready position for opening again .....Am I right ? I need some help if someones in here that can .
