It wouldnt let me edit my previous post.
Probably a dumb question.
In the instructions for use without a ballast it states:
blah blah blah, Remove the resistor and splice the disconnected wires together at a single point.
Do they mean splice the brown ignition wire and run it to the coil, or
splice both wires on the right hand side of the ballast, the blue and the brown, then run them to the coil seperatley?
What do you do with the black wire on the left side of the ballast?

Remove the BR from the firewall and gut it. Jump the terminals with 8/10 Ga. wire. Reinstall the BR to the firewall. This way everything still looks stock and you'll get a full 12v to the coil.

And attach the same connectors the way they are?

Correct. Put the wires back on the same terminals that they were on originally using the factory connections; don't cut or splice anything.

I just unhooked the wires from the ballast resistor, used a double male blade end I bought at a local parts store in the wiring and fuse section. I used the double end male blade end to join the female wire ends together. I wrapped them in electrical tape and that was it. I guess the only thing is the ballast resistor is just hanging on the firewall with no wires going to it. Being that I'm still learning about these cars, I left it up there in case I needed to rehook the wires to it in case something went wrong.

Cool, thanks, I think i will keep the spare i have handy just in case it decides to die in a parking lot somewhere and i can put the old stuff back in.
