That is a hell of a project.

Rear gear ratio should be 3.21 in a 9-1/4.

Yesterday, with my son help he pulled the old spark plugs and put new ones in for me since I have been sick over the weekend.

Today he pulled the gas tank out took a few pictures and said it wasn't too bad no holes or anything except for rust. After we clean the inside out and looks like it will need to be sealed. He plan on using my drill and wire wheels to clean the outside. Then prime and paint it.

Well got a little more done today. The floor boards are in really good shape except for the rear passenger foot wells, I will have to replace them along with the rockers panels here is some new pictures.

So far this is a great father and son project, he is having more fun than I am.

Say it ain't so

The front end including suspension parts are rotted. At most this car is worth 5,000-8,000 restored. I can't see spending that much money on the front end by itself.

Hey Rebel how about the adjuster spring under the seat? Could I buy that from you if the car is going to scrap? :edgy:

Drill and wire brushes? C'mon Rebel, are you kidding me? We are close to 1 Apr for April Fools Jokes, but, really, that will take forever, and not really fully clean it, nor find the weak areas. Buy a new one for a few hundred bucks from Dodge, they may have some somewhere stashed away, or, buy a new repop one, and modify it to fit. It's always a balance between the 'do it yourself' and 'do it right/more expensive' mentality that we ALL battle with. At any rate, enjoy!!!

No joke. It's what I can afford to do. But I am not going to spend what it would take to make this car safe. It's parts car now.

I kept bashing 'Parts car' or 'Restore it' regarding my GTX until finally new metal stampings were made, then I threw in my cards and joined this game. Now, get out there and find a B body and work on that! :)

You can't save them all, ...sometimes it's not financially smart to save them,... look at the end result, ....the value of the finished product, ....this car is not exactly "Muscle Car Gold" to began with, .....but the good news is maybe some lesser damaged Magnum may live to tell the tale.
