How about a lost and found section ? Engines, broadcast sheets, trannies ( no you pervert, transmissions) you know, the usual missing stuff. Being B bodies only the list shouldn't get so huge you couldn't wade through it in a day or two. Whaddayatink?

Not a bad idea.

motors, trans, broadcast sheets, fendertags separated from their respective cars. A place to try and get them back together

I can go first & often..............

But, some tips first if I may?

Divide the lost & found section into categories by model year, it will be more user friendly that way. ;-)

That said.....

I was given a broadcast sheet at Carlilse for a 1970 Super Bee - WM23N0G110464

The sheet is free to the owner of the car with proof of ownership & proof the car still exists.

Thanks once again to Bobby for giving it to me.

Barry, you could post them in the tech section which is broken down by model year. That may be the best thing to do for now.

Hey Adam,
I can wait until something is set up in a permanent section. I have a VERY large box of dealership records on the way here, it will take me at least a month to sort them out and organize them. :-)

A similar section on FABO would be nice too, there are a lot of Dart records in the box.
;-)

Barry. PM me with how it would make the most sense to set it up.

Or you can posts links to the different registry sites that post found items that are available on the net already in the proposed links section and leave room for important pages like Meet Our Staff ....:hide:

Here's a link to a site that is fairly easy to search. Threads (such as on Moparts) are somewhat tedious to wade through and I suspect many folks give up before reading all of it.

Ok, the L & F section looks good, but how come we (I) can't edit the post ?

You can never edit someone elses post. You have to make a follow up post.

Uh, no, I want to edit my own post. I had forgotten to include the fender tag. Can I delete the post and enter a new one?

I just tried it with one of my posts in the same section. The edit feature is a little different than some other sites I am on, but it worked fine for me?

There is a time limit on editing posts, which I believe is set at 48 hours.

Can that be expanded somehow? If I get another item in for a car from a certain plant I would rather edit the original post so the VIN numbers still line up sequentially.

But then, I am a compulsive organizer too.

not to the length of time you would be needing.

Darn!

How about deleting posts? I could copy & paste the old one, update it as a reply and then delete the original post maybe?

Oh, Joey. It's sounding like something else is coming down the pipe. Where do I sign? This site has been worth it's weight in gold to me already.
And put me on record as saying, a lost and found is an excellent idea, as I once was lost, but now I'm ....never mind, I'm still lost.

Posts cannot be deleted. As a wise man once told me, your posts are your legacy.
