Removing Exhaust Manifolds

The GTX has now developed an exhaust leak and it appears that the manifolds have never been off the car in it's 40 years & 69K miles. Since I have heard nightmarish stories of breaking off bolts/studs off (especially when the manifolds have never been off), does anyone have any words of advice besides soaking the crap out of them and/or heating them up? TIA.

break off all the nuts, with a nut splitter, and retap the threads on the studs...or replace as needed.

Remember when (and if) the studs come out, so will your coolant

Absolutely. I haven't forgot the basic step of coolant evacuating prior to stud removal.
