lets see 73-74 rr stripes . i need some ideas

my 73 rr is going back to its oringanal GB5 True Blue Metallic and it is to have V8W Sport Stripes White . but i really dont think the white looks as good on the blue as does the black . im not going for a total original resto and im kick'n round the idea of going with black reflective stripes that way in a sence it will show up as white stripes when using a flash on a cam .

id also like to black out part of the hood maybe but i cant figure out where i would partition the blue from the black so that the black hood stripes would still stand out .

anyone got some ideas .

The white will look good on the B5, and will make it an even brighter (looking) color

yep its going back to its original color . except for maybe the stripes will be black .

here is a pic of a rr with white stripe . however nice it is im really not sure about the blue & white :confused: if anyone has a pic of a 73-74 with black stripes please post them .

I think the white will look better. There is a blue with white local to me, it's a survivor and looks nice.:yes:
If this link works, there is a gray with black stripes in the 74's there are also 73's but no blue with black. I thought about going to blue on mine when I painted it but decided to stay with original white.

You should check out the stripes on both mine and my dad's roadrunners. Mine is a custom stripe that goes straight back instead of up curving up around the door, his is the original stripe but its reflective, not sure if the pictures show that very well, I can take more if you want

i had a 74 RR that was blue w/black stripes(back in the 80.s)ex police car. the stripes do stand out on the car.

My 74 RR [originally Winchester Gray], will be painted mile-deep black. The new stripes will be done in either flat black or very dark metallic gray for that "barely there" look. Possibly black cop rims with dog dishes, or just chrome nuts.
