Switch Panel Pad

Not real glamorous, but I digress...:grin: Me thinks the old panel has been warped from a faulty ignition switch. So I've been trying to un-dye this panel and i'm having a bitch of a time trying to peel the black dye (I don't know what the hell it is) off of this panel...trying not to burn it with chemicals and keep the texture of it. Been using water-based goof off 2 and a brass brush, and it works ok, but i was wondering if anybody knows of anything that takes it off more effectively?? :confused:
