locar KD adjustment

Hey guys,
When is a 727 suppose to shift? Right now, my 727 is shifting into 2nd between 5 and 10 mph and 2nd to 3rd between 20 and 25 mph. How can I adjust the points?

You need to lengthen the cable to increase the line pressure. This will be just like "unscrewing" the original kick down rod. It pushes the lever back farther which holds pressure and delays the shift. Sounds like it isn't adjusted at all.

I think I said that wrong. (been a while since I installed one) I think the cable loops forward to attach to the lever. If that's right, then you will need to SHORTEN the cable for more pull on the lever.

I'd have it shift @ another 10 mph @ a normal acceleration

15 - 20 mph and again @ 25 - 30+. No grand ma take off's, just with normal driving habbits/with traffic.
