Ok, I just ordered a Disc brake conversion kit for my Coronet (Manual Kit). It showed up today. Has anybody out there installed one of these kits? and if so, what are the pros and cons of the diaphragm power booster vs manual master cylinder. A comparative of Brake performance and or other +or -'s.

I am thinking for the extra 100.00 maybe I should have ordered the power master booster. I will say the manual master cylinder is a mammoth... Any input is welcome. Thanks...

Master Power Brake Kit.

Obviously the power requires less pedal pressure than power. But it was common for A bodies to have manual disc brakes on them and they stopped just fine.

I like Manual Brakes better, ........but that's just a Personal Preference.

well, I went with the manual brakes. the conversions is now complete. I learned a new term along the way (double flare). Do not take lightly. Here is a great link for those of you looking to flare your own brake lines.

As for the brakes, a huge improvement over the stock drums. you can Let loose of the wheel when braking and the car wont bounce off the guard rail. The manual brakes require more foot pressure but have a nice feel..
