63hemipolara 09-13-2008, 03:47 PM I don't have this car anymore, it's what I traded for my '63 Polara 472 Hemi. It was an all original paint car with less than 45000 original miles, the engine didn't match but it was a date coded 440 six pack engine that had a date of 11 11 and my car's build date was 9 29, as close as I could hope for, the rest of the ENTIRE car was #'s matching. The engine was done with 625hp and revved like a small block to 6800rpm. She was a blast, I got married in the car and I had her for 13 years.

She worked like a top and went like hell. The Bee actually had more horses than the Polara has, but THAT IS GONNA CHANGE!
charger70 09-13-2008, 05:56 PM I put this car together to keep, but ended up selling it a year later to go to flight school.
383, auto, air con. I bought it as a damaged body only. No Interior, no motor, trans or thirdmember. I used parts from about 10 different cars.
Put in a 440 and a 68 GTX interior scored from a wreck and recovered.
thats me in the second shot in 1985.

Is it possible taht I saw your car at Carlisle a couple of years ago? I know the one that I saw was a 4spd survivor that was beat up a bit, but I can't recall the int. color? Whoever it belonged to I spoke with his father for a little while? I love the car and I loved the fact that it was unrestored!
It took a while for my thread to get any action, but now it's looking pretty cool!
Keep'em coming!
This FJ5 car is one that I just loved the color conbo that I found on the net.
Here's a couple of my FC7 car that I sold to buy the FJ5 car! Sold it to my buddy and it's being redone as I type! I like taking pics. of the cars together as you may notice.

I'm pretty sure that was my car as it was always with me at Carlisle until I got the Polara and my dad was usually always around the car.
Here's some pics of the Bee at Carlsile (the first you can see my dad behind the car) and some magazine features on the car.

bigblkmopar 09-20-2008, 08:40 AM Hey guys, well first off the 1970 Coronet is my FAV of all time. Having said that if I could have ordered one it would have been a Big Block 4 Speed car, FC-7 with White "C" stripe, white roof (painted or vinyl) and white bucket seat interior. Why NO Hemi...well I prefer the Buldge (Pitchfork) hood! I've had two wagons (blue & green), one 500 (orange), one 440 (burnt orange) & one R/T (sublime) but all were sold over the years for one reason or another. So, I have somewhere around 200+ photo's of 70 Coronets...440's, 500's, Super Bee's, R/T's, Convertibles, 4 doors and wagons!! I'm thinking this thread is for Super Bee pic's ONLY so I'll post a few here....if you want some of the others Kidsixpack let me know.... this car is the close to my dream car and was in a Mopar Mag....
Bryan
P.S... I'm looking for a factory FC-7 70 Coronet...440,500,Bee or R/T...or a clean car any color with WHITE interior to build...

Nice Bump...your '70 is SHARP...
Really like the X9 car with the red stripe...although I could really do without the A100 straight axle look to the front end...JMHO...
I must be going through an "X9 Phase" or something...seems like black B-Bodies are really catching my eyes lately...

Nope. Buying the A12 pretty much ground any further automotive acquisition aspirations to a screeching halt. In fact, I'll be looking to thin the herd a little before long so that I can start on the A12...but if I hit the lotto on Saturday I'll be in touch...

Are you the same C stripes from the Charger forum? Some really cool pics here thaks for posting them! They all look like fun projects! I had an FC7 70 R/T. It was a really clean California car with white int. If it were a Bee I never would have sold it!!

A383Wing 12-30-2008, 08:18 PM Here is my "Little Bee"....a little hard to drive :tongueflap:
beeguy 12-31-2008, 06:11 PM Nice sublime bee, I've about decided to paint my Bee sublime as well. now I'm trying to decide if I want a vinyl top or not, that's a lot of bright green without it. I'm trying to find a picture of a '70 sublime bee with a black vinyl top, it seems like it would look sharp.
kidsixpack 12-31-2008, 08:51 PM White top
kidsixpack 12-31-2008, 09:04 PM First time I ever did this! Not a big fan of vinyl tops.
KID
beeguy 01-01-2009, 08:41 AM Actually the white top and C stripes look good, I wouldn't have guessed so.
The black top on a car with a white interior and white strips looks a little funny but I suppose it would have been possible. I'm with you on vinyl tops as a rule, my '70 Challenger R/t SE has a vinyl top and I hate them on E bodies but since it's a forrmal roof SE I don't have a choice. on bigger cars like the B dody they look good in my opinion, but you sure don't need one to look good.
I was thinking sublime with a black top and bumble bee stripe, but the C strip looks great too. just too many decisions I'm sure when I'm done I'll wish I had done something different.
rtmike 01-01-2009, 06:05 PM Two of the Bees' that I've owned.
According to Galen, the purple one was the last v code and second to last overall Bee built out of St. Louis. Last day of production. Also an A34 Super Track Pack car. Many years ago I went by "lastbee" on these forums.

gts95 04-07-2009, 09:08 PM Here are a couple of derelicts that sat for years in a North Texas salvage yard. They were both rescued, hopefully will make it back on the road someday.
gts95 04-07-2009, 09:12 PM The yellow Bee was a FY1, 383, 4-spd, factory a/c car with three speaker dash and some other near options. The purple Bee was a legit FC7 post car, 4spd as well. They were very rough, but had solid frames and the purple car had surprisingly solid floors as well.
