Low mount, large amperage alternator, 7 rib serpentine belt, fully adyustable.
Not one single manufacturer make it and I was told it could NOT be done.

It took components from 6 different manufacturers and a custom made mount.

HERE IT IS.....:tongueflap:

Looks good. Now, I don't mean to sound like a prick, cause I'm with ya on the "What do you mean it can't be done!?!?" BS talk.
But I seen it done before. Mounted low. What was the issue? I must have missed it!

Don'tcha just hate them fuckers...."It can't be done" in THAT drone like you know nothin or have no brain to figure crap out.

Looks great and you apparently spent a lot of time and money on it.

But the question begs to be asked, did you try deep groove pullies?

That was the solution from the factory for high reving engines that were subject to throwing belts. I have never had a problem with this if I used the factory deep groove pullies and I have had MANY high winding engines.

None used HI AMP alternators, usually in the 35-90 amp range.

This one is 135..can go to 160 ..and runs HI AMP fans, HI AMP waterpump, HI amp fuelpump, electronics, and charging system. The factory never had those...

This has been on engines rev limitewd, at over 8500 RPM, if that is high winding.

I play around with this car street driving, so 1/2 - 1 mile belt retention at a time, was not an option, using deep groove pulleys

I use a small bearing to stop the belt from flapping @ high rpm and it works. If you need pics, let me know. Nice plumbing on that thing!!!!

Looks great, I know that don't help keep the belt on the pullies. I have only used deep groove pullies with regular belts. It does look great though. Hope you get the problem resolved. Take care and good luck.

My bad. I kept looking at the reflection in the elephant ears thinking he was standing behind the motor. Looking at it again I see the the oil pump on the left front corner.

they have had low mount, high amp alternators with serpentine and v-belt mods for a lot longer than this yahoo put his together. wow.. glad he is banned.. his ego would make for this place to be very negative.

Most will say it can't be done, some of us ask ourselves 'what's it going to take!"

Seems like a idler pulley off a 318/360 Magnum mounted on top of the belt will solve the problem.
