I then contacted the owner Rick McCallum and found him to be very knowledgeable and VERY helpful and friendly. Mr. McCallum say's that his products do an excellent job on both noise and vibration reduction and heat reduction on both heat generated by exhaust heat through the floor pans and outside heat from the sun. It can be used on the floor pans underneath the carpet, on the roof under the headliner and inside of the doors. I'm getting ready to do a complete interior restoration on my 1966 Coronet 500 and I will be using these products on my car. Richard 64cubed 09-21-2008, 08:59 PM Thank you for the info looks like good stuff:yes: thebankerstoy 09-21-2008, 10:39 PM 64cubed, Here's the answer that Rick sent me when I e-mailed him and let him know that I was looking for a heat reducing product for my 66 coronet 500 and it's 440 with 3" exhaust that was heating up the interior.Keep in mind that he is the OWNER of the business and even though he was VERY busy with answering questions and filling orders for people, he still took the time to give me the answers that I was looking for in order to make a decision on using his products with a custom list of materials that I would need at a preferred price!. My buddy who bought Rick's products for his 72 Demon also said that Rick's customer service is as good as any company he has dealt with in a long time and not only were they quality products, but they were very easy to use, along with great tech support if needed ! Richard Richard, Terribly sorry for the delay, simply overwhelmed with email yesterday and getting orders out sometimes has to take priority, finally catching up today buddy. Very cool car project, my brother in law had a new 66 back in 66 but hit a boulder on the road at close to 100mph(late at night) luckily he was barely hurt but the car was destroyed. The combination of RAAMmat and Ensolite makes an incredible heat barrier. What I do is put down one layer of mat, one layer of the foam and then add a second layer of the mat and foam over where the exhaust runs. I have reduced cabin temps by 25 degrees in a buddies F350(800+ ft lbs of torque) with this method:) That is for the floor, then to really do things right for noise you must do the doors, rear seat sides, under rear deck trim and behind back seat as well as the kick panels(access holes into the A pillars) Go up the firewall as far as you possibly can as well. If you do all this following our HOW TO guide you will have very very good results, I promise. One thing though, if your exhaust is really loud you may not quite it down quite the way you wish, there is a huge amount of acoustical energy involved that permiates the car and comes in from everywhere including the glass. We are all different so I cannot promise you will be satisfied or not, many are, some end up adding an inline perf core resonator to the exhaust(very little loss of power if any) to deal with the final bit of noise reduction to get where they are satisfied. I just want to make sure you know, unfortunately not all in my industry are as honest about this as I am but I will always be as helpful and sincere as I can buddy, just no other way to run a business in my book. I will have to recommend this size order, you may have enough left to do some areas of the roof or trunk if you wish. How about our group buy prices to help make up for keeping you waiting:) 2 rolls BXT RAAMmat 198.00 6 yards ensolite foam 59.70 3 cans adhesive 20.85 UPS ground 20.70 (we are in Utah, helps on the shipping costs:) Total $299.25 ____________________________________ Paypal accepted, a Verified Account with a Confirmed Shipping Address is Required, the Paypal ID is raam@raamaudio.com.
