dementeddart 05-29-2010, 12:23 PM I bought this car about 6 months ago for 500 bucks. Its in pretty rough condition but its worth restoring I think. I just got started taking the car apart finding all the bad stuff :Groaner: which there is alot. I have got some good doors for it and new quater skins that came with the car it came with alot of extras.

Donny 05-29-2010, 03:46 PM Cool looking car, keep up the work, and post pics for us all to see.
roadrunnerman 05-29-2010, 04:04 PM looks like the car is in pretty good shape from the pictures.are you going to keep the flat hood on or put on a bulge hood?

The bulge hood it came with factory was with the car but completely rusted out all around the outside edge. I am attempting to make a custom hood. Here are some pics of the mold i am making using a flat hood, spray foam and plaster. I will coat this in fiberglass and use that for my finish mold.

Hey did you have alot of trouble with the quarter panel removal and installation?
It wasn,t difficult just had to make sure I didn't cut to much off and that it was in the correct place (measure twice cut once). The hardest thing was rebuilding the inner fender well.
that don't look good.I hope nobody was hurt too bad in that.
Air bags and seat belts save lives! My daughter came out with only 3 stiches.
roadrunnerman 07-01-2010, 02:55 PM glad to hear that she came out of that car with just a couple stitches.
Bens Charger 09-23-2010, 12:35 PM nice car, I purchased a 1973 Charger for 1500.00 ,. It runs and needs rocker panels and lower rear quarters., rear leaf shackle. Maybe more surprises once I look deeper.I plan to post some pictures soon. My first project car. Doing it in my two car garage . I would like to be able to drive it during the summer and work on it during the winter. Any tips and clues about rear quarter repair, replacement would be helpful.
74sundance 09-23-2010, 05:08 PM Cool pic's,I also just bought a fixer upper Charger check it out here......
