Hello,

I am starting my California-Trip on the 22rd of September.
Could anybody give me some hints where I can find race tracks in California (e.g. from San Francisco to Los Angeles)?

I am very excited, because it is my 1st journey to CA. :)

toni, our local track is Infineon Raceway (aka: Sears Point Raceway) and is approx. an hour north of SF. I was just at Sacramento Raceway (approx. 2 hours from SF) on Sunday for the Mopar Magic races, show and swap meet. That's about it here in this area until you start heading to SoCal. If you have some time while you are in the SF area, PM me for my contact info and I'll take you out for a beer and take you over to Brizio's Street Rods, Sanderson Headers and my friend's shop (Classics by Steve).

Well, if we meet up for a beer, you can check them from my Apple iPhone. There is also a string of Kinkos Copy Centers where you can go in a rent time on their computers for this very reason.

BTW: Spill the beans (which means tell us), is there a new Mopar in your future on the West Coast? I am hearing things. ;)

So what's the new possible Mopar here on the West Coast for you?

its an early b body, a 65 Satellite!
The deal isn't complete. I am going to analyze the car and when it fits I buy it! :)

I have a date with the seller.

More in a few days.

@ GTXperience: could you give me a hint for a good and cheap hotel or motel in SF?

If you can give me an idea of how much you want to spend (God, I sound like a salesman) and what area of the City you are looking to stay in, that would help. Do you want to be close to some main tourist attractions (ex. Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Coit Tower, etc.) or are you ok with being on the outer fringe of SF? Let me know and PM me also so I don't miss this.

if you want dragstrips, check our Famosa in Bakersfield and Pamona. If you are there during Dec 7th, you dont want to miss the Pamona swap meet.
