Road Runner Console/Courtesy Light Wiring

I have decided to get the console/courtesy lights working on my 69 road runner. I have the harness with the bulb ends and shift indicator light. I am missing the connector plug from the door sill to the console harness. Under the door sill I have only (3) available wires. Pink, Orange, and Yellow. The console harness has (6) spade connectors. My question is am I missing some wires? I have tested this by matching the available colors of wire and I get light but I want it to be absolutely correct with no grimlins later.

Just a guess but maybe the plug that you are looking for, to plug into, is coming from under the center of your dash.

Normally the door switches head up front, under the dash, and connect to your dome light circut, then for a console, the wires come from under the center of your dash, and in some cases, runs under your carpet.

No, on this roadrunner the wiring originated behind the driver side kick panel then continues along the driver side door sill. The floor pan underneath the driver seat has metal folding tabs attached to secure the wiring. At some point the wires were cut at the door sill eliminating the plug that was located under the driver's seat. Thanks for you input!

The console wiring goes to the driver's side under the carpet and plugs into a connection under the plastic kick panel.

I will do if I get my computer up that has photo manager before I get this resolved. Right now I'm using a laptop that does not have the photo manager. I must have it to reduce the pics for downloading onto this site.

I now have the console bulbs working and going off as they should when the door is closed. I spliced wiring into the only availabe wires on the door sill (pink, orange, yellow) and ran them over to the corrolating (color to color) wires on the console harness that has the bulbs. I am confused by the six spade connectors on the console plug while I only have the (3) available wires to connect to that plug. I have a wiring diagram and for some reason it is not detailing this area. The diagram does indicate pink, orange, and yellow. Anyhow, it works! I feel this explanation will do more good than pictures. I hope it helps!

You are probably missing a piece of the harness. There is the harness that is attached to the console, then a separate wiring harness that is between the console and the connection at the kick panel which has connectors on both ends.

my car never had a console , so i only have the wiring in the console to the lights , I need all the other harnesses , acroos the floor pan to the left sill plate , then to the kick panel ? then the one to the fuse box ????

You could probably get away with wiring it in without a harness to the kick panel which is basically what I have done. I'm not sure but I think you might have a feed there even though yours was not an original console car. A wiring diagram for your car would really help you alot. Good Luck!!!
