73-74 differences ?Sputnik 06-02-2010, 10:04 AM What are the (noticeable) differences between 73-4 Satellites ? scotts74birds 06-02-2010, 10:12 AM I know that on the Roadrunner hoods that the 73's are louvered at the cowl. 74's are not. None that I am aware of as far as the shape of the sheetmetal. Possibly some differences in the location of holes, or studs, for trim or badging. Sputnik 06-04-2010, 08:15 PM That's all I can find as well. 74sundance 06-04-2010, 08:37 PM The Satellite sundance had a bunch of differences.... It was a 1 year only option for 1974. The car also came with a 3spd wiper motor. 1/4 vinyl roof. rare vinyl roof trim. Sundance decals. Sundance interior. Cruse control cars had the washer reservoir on the passengers side, very different size and shape. The wheels were different as well. And the Sundance only came with a 318. You could only get it in Aztec Gold Metallic or Spinnaker white. Have a look at pg 6 on my Car Domain: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3164986/6 74sundance 06-04-2010, 08:45 PM On the left is the washer rez and on the right is the cruise. Check out the 3sp wiper motor. 15378 74sundance 06-04-2010, 09:03 PM All the 1974 cars: Satellite/Sebring/sebring plus/Sundance/GTX/Roadrunner had a bump in the trunk it had to do with emisions 1973 cars did not have the bump. 15380 15381 scotts74birds 06-05-2010, 08:34 PM "I defer to the higher power"! What's the SPD? Although I haven't ever seen it, I would guess it may be possible some very early cars could have 73 tanks. rrunner 06-17-2010, 06:03 PM The 74's also had the windsheild washers on the wiper arms 74sundance 06-17-2010, 07:01 PM The 74's also had the windsheild washers on the wiper arms So did my 73 lol 74sundance 06-17-2010, 07:02 PM my 74 runner doesn't have the bump..lol Let see some pic's of it. 74sundance 06-17-2010, 07:09 PM My friend Paul has a really rare hood, it's a 73-74 style Roadrunner hood "Power bulge" but it's on a 1972 Plymouth Satellite the hood has not been messed with.
