I've been looking all over the interwebs, and I have found a few sites that sell blocks. However, does anybody make a block with RB motor mount ears? I am dying to put a hemi in my 73 Charger, but that's impossible with the 73 and up K frame without serious modification. I'm looking to spend less than 3k for tha block.

I think your best bet would be to just use a regular 426 block and a pair of Schumacher conversion mounts that will allow you to mount that block to your RB K-Frame.

BTW if you keep that avatar I may not open your posts anymore - it kinda freaks me out... LOL...

I thought that mopar performance made both standard hemi and RB style mounts when they started reproducing the blocks.

Shumacher doesn't make conversion mounts to put a hemi into a 73 and up b body k frame.

From what I understand, mopar doesn't sell hemi water blocks anymore, unless it's a complete crate motor.

The hemi blocks that were made with the RB bosses for the mounts had a header fit problem . Would not work.

No, the Hemis had a different mount lower down on the block. They used a different K member as well.

Elephant ears,,,,,,,,simple solution!!

Then I'd modify the headers.

Is your engine even mounted to the K frame? Or is it held up by the frame with the elephant ears?

I really like that idea. Did you make those or are they sold elsewhere?

they do not make a hemi block with B engine mount ears, they interfere with the exhaust ports, not that hard to use Hemi side mounts engine mounts,

When you find a new Hemi block for $3k let me know if there are more of them.

Pretty easy to get a red x these days. I threw a green one your way.

The OP of this topic actually died awhile back...He wasn't very old either, maybe 21?

I have gotten, and given, red x's by accident a few times, and an x for an opinion doesn't bother me any. And I'm often wrong, but when we are talking facts, and when I know I'm right, then.......
That one don't bother a bit, lol.
