Polaris Industries, Inc. has announced it will immediately begin winding down its Victory Motorcycles brand and related operations.

Polaris says it will assist dealers in liquidating existing inventories while continuing to supply parts for a period of 10 years, along with providing service and warranty coverage to Victory dealers and owners.

Saw that on the news yesterday. Don't know that much about them or how good or bad they are but just the name is enough for me to not pay much attention to em. Reminds me of the mandatory pep rallies we had in high school just before every football game in the auditorium.....VICTORY, VICTORY, VICTORY TONIGHT!!! and all the other bull **** that went along with it. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if that hadn't took place during my shop class lol. The cheer leaders weren't bad looking even though most were stuck up unless you were a jock.

As soon as Polaris bought the rights to Indian victory was doomed
They should have used their offroad expertise on victory and made offroad bikes instead of cruisers

They were great motorcycles. Polaris did away with then to put all of their resources into making Indian motorcycles. Victory was to much of a niche market. Better to have one winner than two losers.
When comparing to Victory/Indian to Harley it was like comparing Plymouth /Dodge to Chebby

How about that Sligshot?

Yep, a little to "car-y" for me.

...although it does invoke a "land speeder" pretty well.

Hummm? Curse of the Indian motorcycle brand ?
I must say all those that I know that own the Victory's love them and are good quality bikes. Sad to hear this...

Yeah, it's not a bike and not a car....and if I'm going to ride a trike, I want to ride a traditional trike!

A friend of mine has one. It's a kickers bike. He paid 8k for it, which is about half of what a Harley of similar year/model would cost

I have a friend who just recently bought two of these victorys. Don't think he knew they were about to bite the dust. I wonder if that will make them collecter material.

Single wheel @ rear is OK.....the reverse is unstable as hell.
I know....but it just doesn't look right!! :D In my early teens, I had a bicycle with a side car. Talk about unstable! Some couldn't even ride it because of the way it felt and they would just run right off the road with it. The only time it would run off the road with me is when I did wheelies with it lol

Ever watch sidecar roadracers? It is badass......sidecar hacks work their flying Dutchmen asses off!

Couldn't have said it better and had to sound off about pep rallies.
I hated high school. It is not lost on me that my wife is of the same mind and a lone wolf too.
I feel so left out at work. While everyone is discussing game day I'm trying to figure out how to install car parts.
Jock sniffers talking about overpaid mercenaries.

Oh yeah, I love to watch them! Did you see Jay Leno give one a ride around the track. Looked like he did ok. I just wonder how much experience he had beforehand....

Same here! I was NOT part of the 'in' crowd. Got a little story on my time in the lime light when the new girl came to our school in my senior year. All the jocks had their tongues hanging out for her like dogs in heat but we were already an item before she enrolled there. They all wondered how in the hell did I make that catch before any of them could and the morons never did figure that one out lol
