Hi just looking for an image or a location of where the windshield jets go on a 69 coronet with a lift off hood.
The whole system was removed by a prev owner.
TIA

I'm 99% sure the windshield jets go in the same place as they do on a non-lift-off hood car. There are some holes just above the cowel, under the hood where the jets go. They squirt up through the interior air inlet "grate" on top of the cowel. At least that's how it is on my '70, so forgive me if I'm way off-base for a '69.

68-69 shouldn't be too much different.Rt side then left then underhood.

Now I've done it- old underhood stickers from the late 70's early 80's.!!!

thanks for the pics. now, i need to get the squirters, as the previous owner of my 68 also removed them, and the hoses.

Metaldad just open your wallet, Classic Ind. has them I believe.

I'm not sure if you're doing a "100% correct" car, but if not, I've seen those jets reproduced OR you can probably find some used ones & clean them out by soaking in vinegar (12% acetic acid) or maybe just poke out the holes (if even necessary) with the metal wire inside a bread tie to clear them out. All you'd need is those 2 jets, 2 screws from any hardware store & some "not very special" hose....maybe 1/8" inside diameter or so (?)...roughly 3mm inside diameter.

If you're also missing the rest of the system too, you'll need a reservoir (reproduced), pump (reproduced) and a couple more feet (maybe 1 meter) more of the same hose.

There is a seller on ebay that sells a whole kit to suit. That's what I grabbed, postage was heaps cheaper to AU then classic ind.

I think it might have been 521?

This is the set I got, but from a different seller I think: Been so long now that I'm not positive which seller it was tho!

Has every thing you need in the kit tho. I'm a big fan of grabbing kits on these cars because its impossible to get the little stuff over here or it comes at a massive cots. I've ended up with too many bolts and screws, but I don't regret buying the bolt and screw kits for a second!

Does anyone have pictures on where the reservoir mounts, the pump mounts, spray tubes, etc - Mine is al gone and I want to install.

Yes, look at engine bay pictures, but here's the general idea (fyi-you should have holes for the screws already there, so look in the area vs. the parts & you will find them).
1. Reservoir is attached under the hood, on the passenger side, above the inner fender roughly one foot behind the radiator core support.
2. The pump is attached underneath the reservoir. There is one positive wire that runs to the pump & the pump is grounded by a short black wire that goes to a small circle of metal pressed inside the plastic of one of the screw holes of the plastic reservoir (from memory here).
3. The squirters are attached by one screw each. They go down and inside the cowel & poke out slightly through the grate on the cowel just in front of the windshield. You adjust them by bending the metal piece with the one screw that holds them in to aim them further up/down. It will be obvious when you install one of the squirters.
