Hello everyone things are getting a little closer who makes the best carpet thanks

I just installed one in my E-body from Legendary. It came rolled up so letting it sit in the car for a long while to acclimate was necessary. I used a steamer to get the carpet real damp and placed lots of bricks wrapped with paper towels in key spots to help mold the carpet to the floor. Hours with the steamer proved to be key in getting the carpet to fit real well. I know ECS ships their carpets flat in a large box so they're never rolled up but I can't vouch for the quality as I have never used one. The Legendary carpet was definitely of good quality...

Auto Custom Carpets is what I put in my 65. It fit great, no need for steam or weights.

I used ACC with the heavy mass backing ( extra rubber backing for sound insulation). premolded to my 70 RR. Fit was excellent. Bought it at Rock Auto. Cheapest I found online. Came drop shipped from ACC, so get it the cheapest you find.

I'm still trying to figure out what style carpet my '62 had and the color. I was sent a sample from one outfit and it doesn't resemble 80-20 loop.

I bought my car without carpet. I only have a sample on the back of the bucket seats (really faded) and on the console. (That looks pretty good for a sample) I can't find out what color it's called from the factory or what type pile. Maybe cut pile?

Bought a Trim Parts carpet from Summit, very happy with material and fit.

I used ECS in my Cuda; bit pricey but fit was good. My experience with ACC was crap; never seen a brand new carpet so dirty. Looked like it had been dragged across the factory floor before being sent to me.

More likely someone bought it, goofed up somewhere along the line, and returned it saying "Yeah, I figured out my error before I opened the box" when the fact was they spent hours messing with it before that realization occurred. And the vendor messed up by taking their word and restocking it without checking the condition.

You do realize ECS carpet is supplied by ACC....

My vote is ACC as well...

The carpet from ESC came flat in a box, not rolled up tight like the ACC carpet. And there is no way someone would be able to roll that carpet up and get it back into the box to return it.
My experience with the carpet from ACC remains as stated.
Others may have had better luck.

It is from the same manufacturer...It is the same carpet...only difference is one is shipped flat and one is rolled....

As another stated sounds like you got someones return item and ACC should have checked it out prior to restocking that...

What was their response when you called them?

My ACC carpet came flat in a box, ordered through Rock Auto, shipped direct from ACC.

I bought carpet from Stock Interiors, which is supplied by ACC I think....I just got it. will let you know the experience. they did have a lot of options to add mass backing and select higher qualities which I liked. I got the enhanced backing. I also got carpet for my truck from LMC...not sure who made theirs. will do a comparison and post here when I can.

Yep, ACC. Although my original carpet was one piece, the ACC stuff is two piece, and very nice quality!
