I am looking for someone who may have the dimensions of the Rocker Panels for this year on the GTX. Long shot I know, but there is a CNC place here than can make them if I can provide them the dimensions - a CAD drawing would be awesome. Anyone?

Patten rights on anything reproduced for resale to exact dimensions. If that were not the case Mopar parts would still be plentiful and reasonable.
I understand your thought but it treads a fine line.

I don't know why MaMopar would care at this point??? I just need a pair, and much like the louvers I need, they aren't really out there for sale :(

Contact Mike AKA Dayclona from Moparts he makes and has nice reproduction rear louvers for sale.

I contacted him a few weeks back and he wasn't making any. He had an original set that he wanted $2000 for and unfortunately I couldn't swing that kind of money.

Back to the rocker mouldings anyone have any ideas as how to get around patten infringement?
This is going to be more combine place with the advancement of 3D scaming and printing. Small metal and plastic parts on demand.

I find it hard to believe that there is a patent on these mouldings. Most patents are only good for a certain number of years, and if there a is a patent, I would certainly go look it up and get the specs off of it :)

Were you looking for the big molding, along the bottom of the doors and not the wheel well molding, right?

Yes the finned 1 year only moldings. I have only seen 1 set on ebay in the past 2 years and thankfully I didn't get sniped on this set.

Rock guards = dirt traps, moisture retainers and rust. But if you have got to have them you got to have them.

Well my excitement has turned to something else :mob:. The shop contacted me today to let me know the Rocker Mouldings I bought off Ebay do not fit a GTX. It appears the seller on Ebay sold me the incorrect mouldings - they look like the GTX rocker mouldings, but are too short. Looks like these are for an E Body.

Yes those are Cuda. Sorry you got scammed. Very common Sellers try and flip them as "Gtx" cause they worth 4 times what Cuda ones sell for.

It totally sucks that is for sure. The shop had them in storage until today so there was no way to know they didn't fit until today. I emailed the Ebay Seller and he is dancing around the issue telling me they are correct and that the shop is wrong etc. I sent him pictures of how they are supposed to fit and how the ones he sold looked - he has gone silent and I am not holding out hope he will make it right.

The Mopar world is a small world. I know he was/is a member on Moparts. I would post your issue over there it may get you some results.

At this point, I don't see much good in posting over there. I have tried emailing him to discuss the issue like adults, and his responses so far have been to lie about the correctness, try to cast doubt on the shop's installation, and finally insult the shop for not telling me they didn't fit until now. I've encountered enough guys like him over the years to realize there is something inherently wrong with their moral fabric.
