    Cast crank is externally balanced, so you will have to have it balanced with the flywheel and correct harmonic balancer. I have heard they are good up to 500 HP.

    How much oil pressure would you have without the short spring? What makes your oil pressure so high? Just curious. My 440 runs around 80 psi with a high volume pump. Thanks

    Strange question. Make them fit. 1 inch sounds too big to me. Mine are around 5/8" I think.

    Why not? Is there something wrong with sealed power? For a stock 318, any stock bearing will be fine.

    Change the filter to a Wix and fill it up with VR1 20w-50 (or equivalent) and get it warm and see what the oil pressure is. 10 LBS per 1000 RPM is the minimum standard. You want at least 50 lbs at 5000 rpm.

    If its an automatic car, you will need a floor hump and a set of pedals as well. A matched set out of a Charger would be ideal, especially if everything works good. The clutch may still be good.     It is hard to mix and match on the Mopar 4 speed stuff. Try to find a matched factory set up for a '67 or '68. Its never cheap on Mopar stuff.
