The 69 A12 engines were the same as 440 magnum of the same year with some extra attention paid to the internals. Same piston 10:1-1 CR flat top, no valve recesses. In ‘70 they went to the wide beam rods and 10.5:1 CR pistons with the 4 valve recesses on ALL 440 6bbl & 4bbl magnum engines...

Same aforementioned Record Town around ‘85 had a bin of new 8-tracks in their store when they were phasing them out “any 8-track .50c each” so…grabbed all my favorites since both my ‘69 Dodges have factory am/8-track players. I have (2) 8-track players in the home. Still like the sound of them!

Agreed! Great American. The man was famous for all the right reasons and he was in the asset column of society for sure. I’m surprised what his restored Daytona went for at the Mecum auction. I thought for sure it was going to bid up twice what it actually did. One of the coolest Daytona’s to own!
