The One I Loved Back Then Is Available

She’s a beauty! Just my opinion but I wouldn’t touch the hood….mount the imperial emblem on the wall of your garage right in front of where you park it?

Trying to make a decision. Opinions needed.

One of our favorite cars was a ‘72 Satellite so I have a soft spot for them. That said, he’s asking way too much for it and if you’re going to spend that much for very little more you can invest in a real road runner that will increase in value.

looking for the closest to original pistons for 71 440 Six pack

The 69 A12 engines were the same as 440 magnum of the same year with some extra attention paid to the internals. Same piston 10:1-1 CR flat top, no valve recesses. In ‘70 they went to the wide beam rods and 10.5:1 CR pistons with the 4 valve recesses on ALL 440 6bbl & 4bbl magnum engines...

looking for the closest to original pistons for 71 440 Six pack

I’m running the TRW forged L2355F pistons that have the 4 valve reliefs in them with 906 heads and the compression ratio comes in at 9:7-1 normally. But with the block and heads resurfaced it’s actual CR is more like 10 or 10:1-1 using the stock Fel Pro steel head gasket. The pistons are level...

The “Six Pack To Go” ad car

Thanks! Hard to believe that I’ve owned it for 42 years now, just doesn’t seem that long. Your ‘69 GTX is as awesome as the story of your history with it.

The “Six Pack To Go” ad car

I’ve had a lot of requests for photos and info of my A12 Bee, the car used in the “Six Pack To Go” ad back in ‘69. Here is a link to the story on the car I did for the A12 Registry. I hope everyone enjoys reading about it. Feel free to share the link and I encourage exploring the rest of the A12...

    Gary Rossington Won't Be Down

I agree, I think the old 8 tracks sound better than the old cassettes-could it be the size and quality of the tape and magnetic particle on it? Back in the ‘80’s I bought this hardly used 8 track player/recorder and used to get blank 8 track tapes at Radio Shack. Over the years I’ve only had to...

    Gary Rossington Won't Be Down

Same aforementioned Record Town around ‘85 had a bin of new 8-tracks in their store when they were phasing them out “any 8-track .50c each” so…grabbed all my favorites since both my ‘69 Dodges have factory am/8-track players. I have (2) 8-track players in the home. Still like the sound of them!

    Gary Rossington Won't Be Down

Thought I had that one! Right again, the 8-track version is much shorter. It’s been so long since I’ve looked at them-plus you got my curiosity going-that I had to drag it out.

    Daytona ****

Agreed! Great American. The man was famous for all the right reasons and he was in the asset column of society for sure. I’m surprised what his restored Daytona went for at the Mecum auction. I thought for sure it was going to bid up twice what it actually did. One of the coolest Daytona’s to own!

    Gary Rossington Won't Be Down

You’re right, I forgot about Greg Walker being in Skynyrd in the early days. Here you go: Skynyrd's First: The Complete Muscle Shoals Album "Free Bird" (Muscle Shoals demo) (Collins, Van Zant) - 7:26 "One More Time" (Original Version) (Rossington, Van Zant) - 5:04 "Gimme Three Steps" (Original...
