I installed mine and will monitor it. If it begins to look like it'll rust up, I'll drop it and rust treat it and paint it. This is a fair weather car for me so hopefully it'll never see ice etc.
Ah, Quanta... found them...

Same metal so if it still looks new that's a good sign
I do bacon that way because it forces me to slow - cook it on level 6-7 heat so it won't splatter, resulting in the perfect level of controlled crispyness. My chef friend said it was a secret of the best fry cooks
Sorry I don't know Quantum. Are they a reseller or a manufacturer of aftermarket parts? The tank I'm asking about is made by Spectra from Ni-terne steel. All their tanks are it seems to me. I'm wondering about their "natural" corrosion resistance...
Thanks, what I'm really interested in is whether someone left a Spectra tank naked, because they make the tank with a special Nickel electroplate type coating. In my original post on the other thread I go into stupid detail on it but wanted to keep this post simpler.
I posted this in another loosely-related thread but deserves it's own post.
The question: Has anyone had a Spectra fuel tank that they left naked/unpainted and has been installed for over 3 years? If yes... what is the result? Was it a fair-weather only application?
And now the next question is paint the tank or or no? I like the naked tank look, so inclined to leave as is if it will last or maybe clearcoat (with what I'm not sure). Did research and came up with this so far...for science and posterity.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered the correct part. I figured the extra few bucks was not worth potential headaches ... like will my gas guage read properly etc.
Hi following up on your 10 year old post. I have a 74 and am trying to avoid buying the CR21A tank and swapping in the flat-top CR10B tank. I am not changing the trunk floor though. Any tips or issues you encountered during installation or afterwards?
Here is my thread on this...
I found this useful thread...Cordoba tank discussion.
https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/1978-cordoba-gas-tank-interchange.37769/
The magic part of that thread is from "Kernel Sanders" (coincidentally located in my city) that replaced the CR21A with the CR10B in his 74 Satellite...
I just would prefer not to pay CAD$600+ for a tank (someone even quoted me over $1K) when I could pay less than CAD$200 with a small bit of fiddling.
I called Spectra directly and they obviously wouldn't say that you can interchange... they did confirm however that the dimensions are different...
