    Engine Crane Boom Upgrade

Cool! Just an FYII from the cheap seats. it will be tough to get good / complete powder coverage inside the tube due to Faraday caging. It will wrap an inch or two on the ends but the majority of the inside will be bare steel.

    Custom Powder Coating ...

It's actually the third one ever, a really tough undertaking with those two colors compounded by his desire for a translucent candy red metallic (it needs a shiny / metallic basecoat to achieve that effect). It was in great shape for its age which saved on bodywork but the masking took quite...

A few weeks being sicker than ever followed by a fractured ankle after missing a step in the basement has delayed the **** presentation a bit. It's hell gettin old guys! Avoid it if at all possible. Here's a few new ones since my last update. Yes, even a few LS parts which I'm...

    Aluminum intake blast material?

Oooohhh, Ansens!! It kind of depends on what's you used on the intake lol but it's not like your dirty old used intake will "poison" your media or anything. It typically just turns into dust when it reaches the end of its lifespan. Sifting it in between projects can also speed you along in the...

    Aluminum intake blast material?

What you're blasting and what you're trying to remove should guide your media choice. Quite a few of you gentlemen sport intakes I've restored/finished for you, several almost two decades ago now. How is it holding up to use? Any new staining or a resurfacing of old stains? Any issues with...

    Hello from Florida!

Nothing at all. He's just the three-headed dog who guards the gates of Hell. I'm kind of surprised a moderator didn't choose it sooner.

Ceramic or powder coating for intake and carbs?

Chrome replica powders look all right as long as they aren't next to or visually near "real" chrome (I.e., powdered bumperettes on a triple plated chrome bumper). You can tell at a glance it's not the same. Most replicas are not UV stable on their own either so a clear topcoat is required ...

68 RM23 Roadrunner, The rebuild of an old friend

Thank you for that Brian!! I've been sick with some nasty flu for almost two weeks and you gave me a much needed smile. A little car wash soap is all you'll need if they get dirty.

    Stickers on quarter glass

These were on my '68 Fastback Cuda when I bought it in 1991. They're still there, and always will be. I consider them part of its history, placed there by one of the four who owned it before I did. I added a shop decal to the driver's side.

    Custom Powder Coating ...

On arrival, brand new from Summit. The machining above the runners was so extreme it could cut ya open! It will never hurt anybody now though! I LOVE intakes!! Some are smooth and some are bumpy but most are a combination. Rather than "polished" perfection, I strive for uniformity so each...
