Coming from the motorcycle end of the spectrum is the same thing. The more something gets modified from stock, the less versatile it becomes. I think it stems from a position of cost. Engineering teams at an OEM have millions of dollars to spend on R&D, and they take in so many design...
That spreadsheet is nice to have. Does anyone know of a similar spreadsheet for 1970 GTX's? The 1970 GTX registry will only tell me if a certain VIN is in the registry or not. I may have the VIN for my brothers' car a bit wrong (I'm closer than he is, his brain is now lumpy oatmeal) and I...
If you haven't yet, go down this rabbit hole at Project Farm. No better testimonial for Sea Foam. I've used it on autos, motorcycles, lawn equipment, and generators - all suffering from various forms of neglect. I recommend it highly.

All I know is this somebody is going to start looking for a pristine, one-owner Reliant K in anticipation of the next overhyped market trend. Wish me many lucks.
Just as an experiment, leave it in the sun and see what happens. Then later, just before you prep it for repaint, run a credit card over the surface and see if you can get the bubbles to merge, like smoothing out window tint or popping bubble wrap. Might as well have fun with it before you fix it.
IMO, please leave it as is. It looks Period Tough, tires notwithstanding. The thickness of the powder coating screwed up the possibility of the dogs' fitting.
Jared, from the YouTube channel The Questionable Garage, put an LS, Coyote, and a late-model Hemi in a '71 Duster so he could compete at LS Fest, Ford Fest and MoParty in bowling Green on consecutive weekends. He did some things with that car that may interest you if you buy the '72. Watch the...
*separate* Just thought I'd help you out there, Bob. No malice intended.
I love oil threads. I'm certain some of you here are old enough to remember the absolutely foul-assed smell that was given off by fresh Havoline 30wt?
FWIW, Motul 4T 7100 is the only oil I have actually felt a...
Coming from a motorcycle background - and two-strokes, no less - I've cleaned stained cylinders such as that with - prepare thine selves - muriatic acid. The stuff you get at a pool supply store. Wear gloves and use in a well-ventilated area. Wipe on, wipe off. Neutralize with a baking soda...
Coming along well so far. I would be interested to know what the final bill from your coach builder will be. Coach builder sounds like a old-world craftsman putting together a deluxe horse-drawn buggy of sorts. I guess it is...
His shop's tile floor looks better than the one in my kitchen...
Don't simply flush DOT 5 out with DOT 4. All rubber rubber brake system components need to be replaced and the metal parts inspected for corrosion and then replaced/cleaned as necessary.
BTW, I like my brake action to be progressive, yet aggressive. Still haven't found the perfect balance yet.
DOT 3 and 4 are Hygroscopic, DOT 5 is not. DOT 5 fluid, not being hygroscopic, means that any moisture in the system will go to the lowest parts of the braking system, possibly corroding metal parts to the point the braking system will be negatively affected. Which is more detrimental to a...
