The Flowmaster FlowFX and the Cherry Bomb Salute are the same Magnaflow copies from the same factory in China. Same basic part number but the CB are a few bucks cheaper than FM. Stainless steel, straight through, fairly quiet until you put your foot in it. Engine Masters did an under $40 muffler...
It looks like the bearing/wheel on that one lifter was not real happy looking at the wear pattern across the face of the lifter (not the scratches around the circumference of the wheel).
I've come across their parts on E-bay and scroll right by because their prices are ridiculous. All of their glowing reviews are obviously fake. I find it hard to believe people actually buy anything from them.
Those valve springs with 175# on the seat are way overkill for that cam with hydraulic rollers. A 400# rate and 120# seat pressure would be plenty, which looks like what Howard recommends. You could use a quality 5/16 .080" wall pushrod with those springs.
Impossible to read the cam card, but those numbers might be in the ballpark with stock manifolds depending on the cam. The duration numbers at .050" would be much more informative than just the lift.
I think you said your B7 blue was a Lesonal mix, which looks great in the pic. One of the many spray outs I did was Lesonal from the local dealer. It was way too green. The 71 and later B7 was way too red. The paint rep and I both agreed it wasn't even a decent shade of blue!
Any group, or for sale listing on FB selling parts with no comments is a scam. Any price that is too good to be true is a scam. Just a little common sense would tell you that.
Just looking at the posts tell you to steer clear. Completely restored/rebuilt 340-6 TA engine with the 727...
The 69 and 70 B7 blue is a different shade of blue than the 71-later B7. My 70 GTX is B7 blue.
Depending on the lighting and viewing angle, B7 Blue can look lighter or darker. Kind of a 1970's version of pearl paint.
Not on a 71-74, but that adapter marketed as being for E-Bodies will fit and work on a 70 B-Body. A spacer and a longer fastener can be used to secure the one leg of the adapter to the package tray. I may have reclocked the blower motor on its mounting plate for the hose to duct positioning.
