My stock appearing build for my GTX is similar to the first one listed. 440 +.030, Stealth heads with recut seats and spring upgrade, factory iron six pack manifold, carbs, 1-7/8" headers, 10:1 compression. It was good to see some numbers on that cam. I figured that cam would be a decent bump...
Let me help since I just so happen to have the specs in front of me.
Comp Cams Extreme Energy Hydraulic Roller
23-710-9
XR274HR-10
224/230 @ .050 duration
.538/.534 lift
110 lobe separation
How does it run, drive and sound with that cam? I built a similar 440 with that cam, 440 Source heads, 10:1 JE pistons, etc. but I don't have the car done yet. Did he supply you with the dyno sheets? That horsepower number is a lot higher than I was figuring with that cam.
As mentioned...
Why they would reproduce the early deck lid without the cutouts is a mystery. The picture might not be correct. You would need to call to find out about the cutouts.
Those formed areas will be the most time-consuming part to repair correctly if they are rusted. I've seen more than one decklid...
On a 70 B body, unless you get really lucky finding a nice used one, you'll be miles ahead buying a new one. Probably 99% of the used ones have an issue of some sort. If they were available when I was needing one, that's the way I would have gone.
One of the deck lids I bought came off a fairly...
AMD decklid too long? My body guy was complaining about the AMD Air Grabber hood was too short! No cutouts for a Go Wing??
I think I was up to four or five decklids before I found one that didn't some kind of perforation somewhere on the part after media blasting, and I live in an area where...
Mission King of the Baggers racing rocks! HD number one in 2025 by a bunch. #2-3 Indian. Mission Super Hooligan HD swept #1-5, Yamaha #6. They must be doing something right.
I guess reading comprehension is not your strong suit. As I stated in my post, YO and Mega list the same part number for the same M&H dash harness. Free shipping from YO, not with Mega, so yes, YO is cheaper and they tell you up front the part is not in stock.
Any time a vendor wants a credit...
YO and Mega parts want $800 for the M&H harness. At least YO will ship it for free. Mega wants your credit card info then they'll contact you with the total will be once they decide how much they're charging for shipping. That harness is on backorder at M&H. YO website tells you it's on...
As a follow up, the Classic Industries harness is the OER brand. I had to call OER to get the info on the harness, which is made overseas.
It doesn't look too bad, but as one reviewer noted, the fuse holder metal is not as thick/strong as the original, the rivets holding the terminals to the...
There is a "ground up restored", well, at least it's been painted, 74 RR, originally a 318/four speed, now a 360 that's been for sale for weeks and weeks on FB down to 27K now with no takers.
Looking at the shop manual for a bench seat model, it appears that just the driver's side had two belts with buckles sewn together for the lap and shoulder belts and the passenger front had separate buckles for the lap and shoulder belts. This is how the repro belts I got from PG Classics were...
If the quarter and the frame are damaged, it'll be totaled. The book value is probably not very high on that model and of course, they will scrounge up some used parts, if possible, for any repairs. If the repairs are $4-5K, they'll total it.
