There's noticeable power to be had going -1 with a 2.25 valve and if you upgraded the rocker gear to a paired rocker system you could put a big cam in it which would be worth more. Then again how well sorted is the parts combo you currently have?

Ross pistons for a 572" (4.505borex4.5stroke with a 7.1rod) but can be used for a 540" (4.250strokex6.535rod) They are flat top with a nice valve relief for a typical .800" lift cam and 2.25" intake. They are NEW. For standard type "440-1 heads". Build sheet with pics $600.

Yes they have a solid dome...which can be removed! They come with their .990 pins.

Thanks guys. The new motor LOOKS pretty similar but it's a KB alloy block with 'lowly' 440-1 heads. I took off the intake, carbs, jesel belt, and DS oiling system. New one has about .840" net lift and am hoping for over 900HP. I do have some 572-13 heads I might try OR I also have some Predators...
