Also you mentioned the cross member. Yeah it totally isn't going to work as is. Including pics of where the transmission sites now that it is mated and pics of the cross member. Thoughts on how to modify this to make it work.

Ok, so with your help I got the correct flex plate ( I think) and attached it to the motor. I think I attached it correctly. It's concave on one side and I put that side on the motor like pics I saw online. Got the transmission mounted. And Darter6 mentioned the converter snout and possibly...

Yup, I replaced the krame with a v8 one, so the motor itself is already in. Shumacher stopped returning my calls and emails :) I think the alternative would be to fab my own cross member/tranny mount?

Hey everyone, I'm rebuilding a 65 Belvedere II and replaced my slant six with a 318, engine stamp # 4006730-318-5. I'm mating it to my 904 and have a question. How do I identify that motor? I wanted to confirm it was all going to work and I was directed to the guys at Monster Transmission...

65 Belvedere II - motor rebuild

Got to spend the entire day today in the shop! In order to get the motor out of my car, I had to do some cleaning and arranging. That meant that I had to remove the transmission from the 440 to store them more easily. Then we decided, my two sons and I to get the 440 on the engine stand and...

65 Belvedere II - motor rebuild

Got the shop ready to put the Bell in today. Got her in and picked up the new kmember and suspension with disc conversion in last night. I think I'll get the motor and transmission out tomorrow and maybe remove the suspension on Sunday. Super excited to get this part done and then start...

    1968 Coronet Kmember/Suspension work for a '65 Belvedere II?

I'm building a 1965 Belvedere II and putting in a 440 that I'm rebuilding. It currently has a 6cyl in it. I have the opportunity to pick up a complete suspension and kmember setup from a 1968 coronet with a big block. The setup has disc brake conversion, suspension and kmember. Will this...

Thank you! I was trying to get around the kframe swap. What v8 could I put in without doing that?

65 Belvedere II - motor rebuild

So I've done nothing with this car since July. I opted not to go for the big block because I don't have the time to redo the front end. So, I have an opportunity to pick up a 360 with 727 that is running and in great condition for a great price. My question, the seller says it is a 360 big...
