Hello again... Been chasing my brake issue and found brake fluid at the firewall coming from the MC. Before I pull this thing off and try to replace it, is there a gasket at the firewall? The replacement didn't come with one and I don't want to start this if I can't just finish it. 71 RR...

The light never worked since I picked up the car. There is no radio and the heater controls all work with no issue. I don't have a gauge to test the fuses but am willing to give it a shot. Thoughts on where I can grab something cheap? This is all very new to me so I am learning as I go.

My lights are out on my dash and it's not the fuses (they were all replaced). I am attempting to remove the cluster to get to the bulbs and replace those but do I need to drop the steering column to get it out? It looks like yes, but is there anything else I should pull/remove while I'm at it...

Sorry to say I am still working on my brakes. I have replaced the hoses and lines for the front as well as the distribution block/proportioning valve. Bless the MC and got through the rear brakes. The rear brakes are in good shape but I am only getting a trickle of brake fluid from the front...

Hey everyone. I am working on the trim for my 71 RR and there is no stripping on the trunk. Can someone please post a pic of what this should look like on the car so I can make sure I orient the stripping correctly. I have attached a picture of what I am working with.

No DOT 5 that I am aware of. I think the hoses are shot that run between the metal line and drums. Ordered replacement pieces so now I wait. I really appreciate all the help.

Nope. MC looks dry. Just got to the front brakes and the passenger side is not draining even with the vacuum pump. I was able to get fluid when pumping the brakes but now they are at the floor. I'm sure that means I need to start over, right? Quick update no fluid leaks from front pass or...

Could it be a broken bleeder? I'll still do the front tires but wanted to be sure I wasn't messing up.

Yeah I got a vacuum pump because I expected to do this by myself and was told that would make it easier.

My sequence would be passenger rear, driver rear, pass front, driver front. Pass rear has no air coming from it. Driver rear seems to be full of air. The brakes are soft on the first pump but really firm after that and almost no travel. Can't get past the driver rear.
