After all was said and doneI thought that a) the quarter should be tacked at the drip rail THEN b) it should be pushed UP from the bottom to increase the curvature at the extension. This may have required some slits behind the extension or some shrinking of those lips.
Do those quarters also...
Yup! Great fit, huh! It took a combination of grinding off some of the extensions as well as bondo on the quarters to get a satisfactory fit on mine. Still not great. A good metal guy would probably do some slicing and patching.
That's pretty close to ideal. However, its not WOT you should be concerned with, its getting your "total" in by 2000 RPM
Are you using the Sniper to control timing or the distributor ??
The dash mounts over the clip so you can't weld a stud to it. But if you notice, the gasket doesn't stick to the dash and its got a pretty wide flange on it (the gasket). So I think putting the clips on the dash with the screws up from the bottome might work. Just not sure about access to those...
