This happens every time I order oil on Amazon...

When I build a shopping cart it's nowhere close. I can't be bothered to call them and negotiate. If they want to price their stuff competitively up-front, they are free to do so.

This happens every time I order oil on Amazon...

If you're an Amazon delivery driver in the SF Bay Area I strongly suggest you take the day off Sunday. Or bring your own hazmat suit. :p (I considered giving them a break this year but I'm still saving like $40 over buying these on Summit.)

What did you do to your Mopar today?

Fixed a horrible rattle in my 1970 Coronet RT that's been tormenting me for years. Came from the rear driver's underside somewhere and sounded like sheet metal slapping together over every bump. Finally discovered that a couple nuts holding a suspension bracket were loose. The attachment points...

How does a mecum auction work?

You'll often find cars at these auctions that never come up for sale privately or at dealers. You are paying for good bodywork and paint since that is what you can see (along with documentation like numbers, tag, sheet, VIN, and so on -- if that stuff is claimed but hidden or misrepresented, run...

Burned out (NOT burn out) Superbird at IAAI (For auction, not mine)

This sounds like $300k+ build. Could be cool, but please hire a lawyer first to figure out the title situation.

Burned out (NOT burn out) Superbird at IAAI (For auction, not mine)

Can't licensed body shops order repop vin tags from ECS? The problem here seems more to be the fact that the title is a CoD. Seems to be a lot of ins, outs and what-have-yous about getting this converted to a salvage title, I wouldn't go there.

What do you guys hate about this 1970 Coronet R/T for sale?

According to this, it was optional in the 70 Coronet R/T: 68-70 super bee and R/T dash options? I like this color and find it amusing in a 70 Coronet R/T. If you can get away with just having to repaint the hood/side scoop/engine compartment (and repaint the engine while it's out), and if...

New 2025 Charger release video just posted

But it's still 500 pounds less than a Hummer H2.

Any tips on buying a car out of state

Then there was the inspector I hired in NYS who claimed a car had an "almost #1 paint job", first thing I saw when it rolled off the truck was a bunch of obvious runs on the rear paint right over the passenger wheel that had been there since the original respray 15-odd years ago. The photos were...

Any tips on buying a car out of state

I had an inspector do the same for me for a convertible from a certain proboscis-shaped state. Car arrived with almost no brakes, bad radiator, bad trans, bad diff, bad carbs, and a bad gas tank, and it spent 9 months in the shop. Everything that could be photographed looked great but everything...

Any tips on buying a car out of state

As a seller I'd never use an escrow service -- what qualifies as "satisfied" and who judges this? Ain't nobody got time for that kind of headache. Always another buyer around the corner, maybe for a bit less $, but life is short.

$280k Blown Charger (oh hi, Dom)

Whoah... Must have sold for close to that price given this car has only been up for 11 days? If I wanted a car like this, I'd buy a project '68 318 for $25k then pay what, $150k for a flawless turnkey restoration on which I know everything works, and save $100k. Only problem is it will take...

$280k Blown Charger (oh hi, Dom)

As a member of the Fast & Furious generation this caught my eye: 1968 Dodge Charger Unlike last time I'm not gonna complain this was born a 318 because we're clearly waaaaay beyond the point where that matters. But I did watch the YouTube video and was kind of amazed when he essentially...

    SOLD 8 3/4 3.23 pumpkin (never used)

I found an image of an emailed receipt... confirms 489, and "Open". Not sure what else open could mean, but I'll qualify with "caveat emptor" since I'm not going to yank this beast out of the bucket to check. :)

    SOLD 8 3/4 3.23 pumpkin (never used)

Gotta be a 489 given the car I ordered it for. I'll double-check the casting numbers on the side when I get home and update if it's not. Per the tag it looks like an open diff, but no guarantees.
