6.4 and Tremec TR-6060 in B Body

make sure you sit in your car and measure from the top loader to your hand in your sitting position to see if you need to have an offset shifter. mine right now is straight upright, it sits to far forward. i got to get a new one with an offset to the side an sit further back. here is the website where i got my driveshaft. http://www.driveshaftshop.com

Ive made a bunch of phone calls and am still coming up
with no answers. Our transmission is the tr6060 from a
2010 srt8 and has all the linkage. Everyone telling me there is no application yet where we can eliminate the
linkage and relocate shifter to the top of the transmission.
The last guy I talked to said we could sell it and just get
the t56 instead?

We may just shorten the linkage stay tuned?

here is my tr6060 with a top loader...

Im just going to go with the same shifter just had so many people saying nobody made that conversion till I got your
pics. Looks awesome I will try to replicate what you have
done really appreciate help.

I talked to a Tremec rep at a show in 2015, and he also told me that I can't put a TR6060 in because the shifter and driveshaft. Said I might have to change the tailshaft or get a T56 from them. Seemed like they wanted me to spend my money with them. I had already purchased a TR6060, clutch and bellhousing from a '10 Challenger off CL for $2,000. Thankfully we have good boards like this to help sort out the details, share ideas and keep some costs down.

Thanks!

Hey USA ROADRUNNER just need to ask somemore questions about shifter I bought online from parts performance warehouse it is exactly like the one in the pictures got it today the bolt pattern is different need to talk more with you and get the exact part number ect this one will not work will have to send back? Ours is a 2010 tr 6060 with linkage.

WE bought the one with the offset like you recommended I guess I will send it back and get the straight up it must be the only one that works if it doesn't I have a machine shop guy that can make it and I will just start selling it.

On the tr6060 there are 2 locations for the shifters. If you want to wait a little bit, I will sell ya mine. I need one to sit futher back for me.

gotcha will check it out and let you know more soon.

We chose to keep the shifter with the offset and positive stops it is going to work fine.Although we had to make some modifications to the plate we just had scott mock machine a new plate looks like factory and fits perfect. Pics will follow.

Really appreciate the info had no idea they existed looks similar to what we installed except the one I purchased has the offset which should set the shifter back farther. If its too far back all I have to do is cut it shorten it reweld it. Thanks for info that's what these boards are about good discussion on many topics.

Glad to be of help. I usually just read what others have posted, feels good to help out once in a while. Good luck with your project!

Check out my posts starting on pages 93, 94, 95 . . . it shows my process for fabricating the cross member - we had to go through about 5 iterations of how to do it until we got something that we liked - and worked . . .

got lots of pictures and text describing my thoughts and my process . . .
Really want to see pages 93 thru 96 how do i get there?
