Bought a 69 plymouth wagon awhile back that had one on a 318. Worked great but cap was so big prior owner removed wiper motor to clear, which was no fun.

Other than clearance issue in car worked great.

Or, you may have to do some grinding on the head with the size of the body on that thing to seat fully? Other then that, I know nothing about them. Good Luck

I absolutely hate HEIs. Not for how they work but simply how they look. I won't even use one on a GM, let alone a Mopar or Ford!
I realize not the info your looking for. If it fits and clears the wiper motor (why would anyone remove the wipers to run one?) it probably will work fine, they are efficient and simple. At least on a small block you could hide the monster behind the air cleaner provided it's not in the way of the cleaner.

Keep it and sell it at the next swap meet!!! I know whoever gifted it thought it was probably a good piece but....you really get what you pay for with these. I bought a sbf hei conversion and it worked for about a week, not to mention that the top would wobble like an old washing machine.... Replaced two modules both failed within weeks....bit the bullet and bought a MSD. No problems for a year now

lol thats what keeps popping in my head.
hide the monster
ill get it all installed all the wires done runs great,
go to put the air cleaner on annnnnnd no.
i suppose being a truck i can use a stack,
but then theyll still be able to see it.
lol!

supposedly, its got a performance curve module innit,
but as Mike said,no clue about Quality.
this is kind of a cheapie? way of replacing a former Lean Burn system..
and we all know how great those work right?

Are you putting that in an Iroc-Z, lol, just kidding.. HEI's were a bit prone to overheating the expensive module hidden under pretty much all the components of the dizzy, I was never a fan, I appreciate the design, coil ontop of rotor eliminates all the bad things that not having it there consists of, BUT, at the expense of having it there you lose the ability to remote mount the coil in a safe easy to service location away from heat, moisture, vibration, and so on...

All that being said constructive or not, I SAY if you own it already- use it, I feel like a donkey not adding a decent alternative, I will say I have used with good luck the proform units, and they are affordable.. And I like the MSD blaster coils, although I can't complain about any coil I ever used, I think its kind of a perfected device by now, they all seem to make energy for a good long while and most probably make more spark than most of our engines need. I will say they are all a leap ahead of what I see that came on factory cars from the 60's, yikes....

One more note, and I am sure you guys care, lol BUT I do like the HEI terminals, they just work better, I am a fan of the MSD dizzys with the lock down ring and HEI boots...
