Hey
I have 400 ,2bbl low budget motor.honing new pistonrings, stockheads ,I got 4bbl intake maybe I put this with 600 Holley.camshaft is toast
what kind cam I put this stock 2bbl or something else.thanks.

Stay mild I put the 440 magnum cam in my 400 I have also ran the 440 6pk cam
both are ok
just think of you idle and what you are looking for a driver or racing

if your using the 8:1 compression pistons the mopar 272-.455 will work. another alternative would be the comp cams magnum replacement #21-305-4.

The cam I ran with my 72 400 back in 78 or so was the 268 duration cam by Comp cams. It was a hydraulic type. When I changed the intake to a wiand 4 barrel with a 780 vacuum secondary carb it really woke it up. Even though I have a 440 now, I think that engine/ cam combo IMOP worked really well for an 8.0 to 1 engine. It felt better from light to light than my 440.
