69 Coronet 440 project

you did a great progress on that coronet! Well done! Yeah some pics would be very appreciated we're lovin'it! :p

Finally don't have any of the kids cars to work on so it's back to the Coronet. I got the floor cut out so I have access to the frame.

I'll do the mini tub on this side and weld the floor back in place. Before I can do any of that I need to get the spring relocated on the drivers side.

Found another mouse home I really hope it was an old one and not new tenants.

Making my first cut on this side.

I got the frame rough cut out.

Squared up a little more

Test fitting the spring hanger. I'm just using a bubble level to square this up because a digital level would drive me crazy trying to get to zero.

Fat tires are good!!! Looks great 61
Thanks 7 they sure will. I can't believe I let this thread slip to page 6. Work, school, and other responsibilities sure are taking it's toll on my build progress this year. I can still hear the Coronet calling out to me from the garage so it's still in the front of my mind to get back to her. 6 more classes after this quarter and I'm through with school. That will free up way more time. Now I just need to figure out how to free up time now to get back out there. By the power of Grayskull I will make it so!!! :)

I know the feeling, building this garage has me tied up too. Hopefully the schooling will reward you with a secure well paying job that will free up funds too. Good luck

Looking good there! I am doing the same thing on my 67, have the right side done so far. Keep at it!

Same here right side is done and now working on the left.
I stopped because it got cold for a week or two and the cement floor was not doing it for me. I went to the front and did some metal work and then into the interior and dash.

I have wood planks that go across my frame jig so I'm up off the floor and it makes it easier to get up. I'm also close enough to my work that I can see what I'm doing.

And that's another problem...seeing stuff.lol.

With the great weather we had yesterday I was able to get out to the garage and get some work done on the Coronet. I got the left rear inside wheelhouse cut off for the mini tub. and I was able to start fitting the metal so I can box in the frame on this side as well. No pictures but it felt good to get back out there again.

I'm calling that spring is here and I'm back out in the garage. I have some time and pent up energy. Camera in hand this time I'm heading out to go work on my Coronet.

Well here are some pictures of todays work. I'm boxing the left rear frame for the mini tub. Still have more welding to do and hopefully I'll finish that side tomorrow so I can start installing the inside wheel house and mini tub.

Finally back to the Coronet after moving to the new house. I've been doing alot of welding so I didnt post anything about that. I finally have the mini tubs done and now I'm working on the rear spring relocation. I forgot how much I missed working on the old gal. hopefully I can start posting regularly again as I'm hoping to have the deck lid mounted by the first snowfall. By looking at the pictures I have a long way to go before I can attach the deck lid.
