What you are looking at is part of the rheostat for the dimming of the interior lights. It is generally wrapped in a circle and embedded in a ceramic circular base just behind the front of the switch frame. I'd say you're best to source a new switch because repairing this one and still having reliability electrically is pretty remoteHi all, I just took my dash out for the first time to update the tach and I see this mad looking spring sticking out of the light switch, any idea how this should look before I take it apart?
