had a decent day yesterday, thought id share some pics and a story.

ran into a guy i hadnt seen in years, hes selling some mopar bits and pieces on cl.
i saw some totes of 71 b body gtx and rr black interior trim,
as well as a Ton of outside trim while i was poking around.

we get to talking,and blammo,
it turns out that my friends 68 coronet was actually bought down in fla,
and brought up north by this guy eons ago,
and he was Thrilled to hear it was alive and well.
best part,he bought it for 75 bucks, put points in it and drove it up here
remember those days?!!

he also has this, altho he isnt keen on selling it.
he thinks its a 426 wedge motor from a boat.
i dunno,i tried looking it up,but i thought yall might enjoy it.

he also had one of these,

and so did i !!
found this when i went to storage.
lol

IDK but that engine has factory adjustable rockers.
What the hell is that hanging from the tree?

Boat motors in cars? If you don't know where it came from you might be going backwards in 1,2,&3 and forward in R. LOL

With all that plumbing coming off the front of the engine & those long exhaust manifold bolts, it's a boat engine for certain.

Marine engine for sure......long studs for log manifolds.
Uh, that's a hornets nest, wait til it's nice and warm then swat at it. Makes you see how fast u are.

Jesus Chrysler, that's the death Star. I've never seen one that enormous.

I'm no marine boat guru, but the ones I've seen around here would have the propulsion system pumping through water cooled manifolds. Then distributed through the block from that plumbing contraption up front. I remember working on a 413 powered ski boat in the early 80s with a setup like that. Can't remember, but may have been reverse fired also.
Boat guys? Answers?

Must be driven off the back of the crank in the outboard unit, Ya I'm not a boat guy but I do know that if there are 2 engines one turns the other way.

i said that wrong,sorry fellas.
what i meant to say was, this IS a boat motor,
But he says its a 426 Max wedge motor and im not sure it is.
i tried looking it up and found diddly squat.
he also did say that yes its reverse run,
and theres only 6 bolts in the crank.

inside this trailer,is a 1970 V code cuda.
it has been sitting there since the trailer was brand new,
20 years at least.
father gave it to son,son says hell restore it " someday "
ive heard offers of 25grand thrown around,
and they wont even show the car to most people.
i was not allowed to take pics of the car either.
as far as i could tell,it was a red/black automatic car.

he also has this V.I.P fury which is kinda cool.
