Finally found a 70 roadrunner. Pretty good shape, pretty good price, but a pretty good distance away. With work and college classes, I wont be able to break off. Fellow member PaveFE did me a huge favor and checked it out, said both the back tires are broke off the bead and that he couldn't get a jack under to check if the rear wheels were free, but the fronts roll.

Any one know any good transportation companies that will deliver door to door non running cars? Starting point is Killen, AL, ending is Denton, TX.

Also, as I wont be meeting the seller in person, what's the best method of payment?

don't know about transportation .. but if you don't know the seller I would use an escrow company for payment

I have purchased five Mopars sight unseen in the last 7 years, never had a problem. You need to talk to the seller on the phone and hopefully get a good "vibe", get a good feel about dealing with that person.....do they seem honest, up front, can they carry on a conversation, etc.....
As far as payment, if it's not a huge amount you can use Paypal, except the receiver's fees can amount to quite a bit. Otherwise a bank wire transfer is very safe and is the way I have done all of mine, which were from 11,000 to 25,000. Of course having had someone look at the car as you have is a plus.
Transport should not be a problem for such a short distance, you can PM me if you want and I will give you some people I have used. Good luck with your new car.

A word to the wise, when it comes to transporting a car avoid "brokers" at all costs. A broker is simply a middle man with a phone who knows people to call to get a car moved. He basically has no control over the actual person who will move the car as they don't work for him. Deal only with the guy who is actually going to transport your car. Hopefully someone here will provide a few more names. Here's one possibility: Jim
