Here's some pics of the cars his dad raced back in the 70's. Its funny, I knew his dad raced but I never asked what he drove all these years. He sent me some phone shots of some pics. His dad Jim passed back in 2011.

Ya very cool, the problem was back then we really didn't care about taking pictures, most people didn't have cameras. We were all just having fun.

Was that in Ormond Beach also? My bro lived there in the 70's too and owned a transmission shop. Wonder if they knew each other.

He lived in Bloomington Il but did come down to Daytona to race.

Yes both places are dirt track. Jim Tobin was a heck of a nice guy, and his pizza was awesome.
