When did Ma Mopar begin using a gear indicator on the console with automatic transmission? Maybe 1970 or so? I found this pic off the internet titled, "Mid 1960s t0 1970 Mopar console shifter indicator plate". I'm referring to the line under the lens that corresponds to the shifter to show which gear is selected.

My 69 Coronet doesn't have one. Is it supposed to have one? Anyone make their own?

Thanks FBBO

Does yours have a line under the lens that corresponds to which gear you are in?

That looks like the 71-74 B/E body. Some, if not all were "Slapstick", meaning you could put it in 1st and slap it forward and it would stop at 2nd. Then release and do the same for 3rd.
The letters would also light up different colors: R lights up red, N is green, and I believe the rest were white

I just quoted the add which said it was , "mid 60s-70s". The pot metal piece looks like my 69 shifter housing. I would like to see the back of one of those 71 housings.
