Hi there. I am looking for info on the 1974 Plymouth roadrunner GTX.....Is the 440 GTX rare in 74'? I was told only about 300 were made in total. Also...was there any GTX emblems on the GTX?
I think the early 74s had the strobe stripe transfering into the solid stripe and the later ones were solid across the roof going into the stripe....a RR sticker dead center of the hood, same sticker on the deck lid and the 440 cid stickers on each side of the louvered...non vented bulge hood....is this all correct?

Thanks guys!

If you ordered the Road Runner with a 440 engine, you got GTX nameplates on the hood.

Hey thanks! Thats about where i figured...would that of been a stick on emblem?

Can a guy find those somewhere.

Hey guys are those both 74s?

Also....the round decal up front is not on the back?

New to the site. Welcome,to,FBBO. A GTX is always a great, choice of Mopars

Thank You.

Is the 74 GTX a desireable model? Over the standard model RR?

.....of course the VIN needs to have a "U" as the 5th character.

My first Roadrunner was a 73 GTX that I bought in 1979, and it did not have a GTX badge on the trunk lid.

I had a '74 RR/GTX and it only had the GTX emblems on the hood scoops, nothing on the deck lid
